The Mission of Nazarene Theological Seminary, a graduate school of theology in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition, is to prepare women and men to be faithful and effective ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to offer itself as a theological resource in service to the Church of the Nazarene, its sponsoring denomination, and the wider Christian Church. NTS is a missional seminary serving a missional church. The Center for Pastoral Leadership seeks to address the unique challenges faced by those in the pastorate and similar ministries. Our goal is to support and encourage pastors in ways that will enable them to flourish in a holistic way (vocationally, emotionally, spiritually, relationally), no matter what season of ministry they find themselves in. Being housed at NTS, the CPL hopes to specifically address the unique challenges that new clergy face. In sum, our goal is to help prepare and sustain men and women clergy for a lifetime of effective service to the Church.
